• Lyndon B. Johnson: 36th President of the United States, served one term from 1963 to 1969. He was also a US Representative and a US Senator from Texas. He is most known for his leadership during the Civil Rights Movement and his efforts to implement a “Great Society” of social welfare programs.
• Sam Houston: Military leader and politician who played a significant role in the Texan Revolution and the formation of the state of Texas. He served as the first and third President of the Republic of Texas and later as a US Senator from Texas. He was also the Governor of Tennessee before moving to Texas.
• J.R. Ewing: Fictional character from the popular TV show “Dallas.” He was portrayed by Larry Hagman and was known for being a ruthless and cunning oil tycoon.
